Candle Favourites

Tuesday, 28 January 2014

I think everyone loves Yankee Candles; with their large range of sizes and styles along with an incredible amount of scents, there is something for absolutely everyone.

These two are my current favourites which have been burning happily on my desk for the past couple of weeks, and whilst I alternate between a few others (kept in the fabulous IKEA jars seen in the background of the image on the right).

Red Berry & Cedar is a wonderfully rich scent, quite musky with very woodsy undertones. It is one of their 'festive' smells which I loved burning over the Christmas period, but I find that it isn't too stereotypical for a holiday candle, so is still perfect any time of the year.

Black Coconut smells rather dark as the name suggests and is in their 'fresh' collection, however compared to some of their other fresh scents, I don't feel this quite belongs. It reminds me of an evening holiday cocktail, and even without being lit has a very warm aura.

Primark Haul

Tuesday, 21 January 2014

The other day I ventured to Lakeside with my sister, mainly to check out the Primark there, and oh my I was not disappointed; It's huge!

Making my way round it was hard, as I wanted to be sure I had looked at every rack and rail so that I didn't miss a possible hidden gem. My main aim was to find myself a new handbag (which I did), but couldn't resist picking up some other pieces.

Daisy Shirt £12

A lovely sheer shirt, which is oversized but I think is ridiculously long at the back! Maybe it's just because I'm short, but it will make sure I'm covered if wearing this with leggings.
Grey Jumper £6
This jumper is so wonderfully soft and will be perfect for slouching around in, which is something I do a lot of, so comfort is key in my clothing!
Grey Crop Top £4
I'm not a huge fan of cropped tops as they look like regular tops on me, but this one was grey (grey is my favourite colour, if something is grey, I have to have it) and like the daisy shirt is oversized, so will just be nice to be baggy and comfy.
Green Vest top £4
The only non-monochrome piece of the bunch, I loved the leather-look detail across the top of the pocket, and thought it would be nice to add some colour to my wardrobe.

Black Bag £9

I have been needing a black handbag forever as I didn't actually own one *shock horror!* I don't know how I got by without such a major essential, but I can now safely carry my things around instead of using the black tote bag I have used to death. I wanted something simple, and this faintly snake skin patterned bag with silver clasp detail does the job nicely.

Necklace £5

I am a sucker for pretty necklaces, and couldn't resist add this beauty to my collection. I favour silver jewellery over gold, and thought this was a wonderful statement piece that would also look great with any of the clothing items above.
Ring Set £2
I'm not really a ring wearer as I am not very keen on how they feel (strange but hey ho), but I really want to be so thought these thin banded rings would be a good way to break myself in. They are meant to be midi rings, but I bought them in large so that I could wear them as normal rings.

Sleek Face Contour Kit (Light) £6.49
I also made a visit to Boots while at Lakeside, and finally managed to find this. I've hunted for this for ages at my local Boots and Superdrug and it's never been in stock every time I've been, but at long last this much raved about product in the beauty community is finally mine.

Welcome

Thursday, 16 January 2014

Hello there! Welcome to Little Grey Fox, where I plan on sharing my passion for beauty, fashion and photography with you lovely lot.

Im currently doing a degree in Digital Photography, so all photos posted on here will be my own (unless otherwise stated etc). I love reading reviews, hauls, outfit posts and general product posts, so plan on doing similar things here! This post itself obviously isn't too interesting, but hopefully my future ones will be, and LGF will be somewhere you'll enjoy coming to.

See you soon! (I hope, *fingers crossed*)

Elinor
